Our year 3+4 tennis team

Last week our year 3+4 tennis team went to Inspire for a tennis competition.  The team consisted of 2 girls and 2 boys, though we did have to quickly substitute another Year 4 member during the tournament for a team member who wasn't feeling well.

They did amazingly well and had a great time, winning most of their games but sadly were knocked out in the semi final.
When they got back to school they were all congratulated and the teachers couldn't have been happier with them.but the main reason we were all so proud of them was because they didn't forget that its not about winning its about taking part!

Everyone thought they played amazing and all there parents are super proud of them, they couldn't have played as well as they did.
They worked so well together, played so well together and did such good team work.

New Mission Statement

In January of this year, our school St.Josephs became a primary school.  Because of this, we have had to change our mission statements, changing from both our present ones to a statement that takes into account both KS1 and KS2.
We have all been working hard in our learning logs to think of a good mission statement.  The best 2 suggestions from each class have went to the School Council to select the one that would be the best mission statement. Then the chosen piece will become the new mission statement for are school.  Mrs Lee has called it Mission Impossible, as it is proving quite a challenge!  We have narrowed it down to 2 possibilities, and hopefully by half term, we  will have our new Mission Statement!  There were so many lovely suggestions!! We are such good thinkers!                         All of us from St.Josephs are extremely excited, waiting for our head teacher,Mrs Lee,to announce the new mission statement!                         But don't get too excited kids,we're still in school!

Multi-Skills at Cardinal Newman

16 April 2015

Year 4 from St.Josephs Primary School are going to Cardinal Newman High School on Thursday for a day with some joy and exhaustion doing sports with the older children of  the school.

We will be going there for the afternoon and can't wait as we haven't been on a school trip in quite a while.  It will be especially exciting for the new people in our school because since we have moved to year 4, lots of new children from other schols and countries have joined us here in Year 4.                                             Thankfully the school provides us with coaches                        when ever we  go on a school trip, as it would be difficult for all our parents to take us.  We are sure we will have a great afternoon with the Young Leaders from Cardinal Newman teaching us skills and organising activities.

We cant wait to go but the main thing we have to remember is to have fun.
