Year Four Swimming

Year four swimming comes to an end for 4SC and 4RP, but 4KC and 4AB will be starting soon. At the beginning of the year,  our teachers told us that we would be going to Inspire swimming pool instead of Wardown Pool.

Irish dancing Club.

Irish dancing club  is phenomenal! We learn how to do our 7s, hop 2 3 and all other steps we learn with Mr Conway.  He is a perfect Irish dancer.  We always look forward to going to learn Irish dancing. We do 'duck duck Irish dancing'.  It's wonderful! Our clothes are colourful, brilliant and bright.

Quantam Theatre

A few days ago Quantam Theatre came into our school to make our English - particularly our storywriting -  better. They talked about how to write a proper story. Quantam Theatre told us to take a story and change the characters, setting and of course the baddies. They made us laugh and giggle as well as teaching us new adjectives, adverbs and similes.  At the end they taught us how to make a good story. So now we are are going to be better than  Jacqueline WILSON!
We all had great fun.

Snow!

The view from the Year 3 Block on Friday afternoon.
As the snow continued to fall all day, the decision was made to close the school early, to ensure everyone could get home safe, in case conditions worsened.

We had Monday off due to poor weather and road conditions, which gave many families opportunities to go sledging and build snowmen.

Each Monday morning, before Schoo, is Karate club, where the sensai teaches young children KARATE. His name is John. Each  year we get a grading, meaning that we are making progress and get a different coloured belt.
We have to arrive at 8:00 am, dressed in either our P.E outfits or a KARATE GUI.

Big Year Ahead!

This year  is VERY important for all of us no-matter what year you are in! During the next week or so year 6 will receive SATS practise books to help them revise for their SATS later on this year. Even though you are not in years 6, still work hard because when you are in year 6,  you'll be revising hard to do your best in  your SATs. Later on in year 4 they will be experiencing  Dell Farm ( just to say ... you will have an a AMAZING time!) Also year 6 will be going to Kingswood and have an amazing time aswell!
We hope you enjoy these future dates.
