Year 6 Mass

Yesterday ,year6 had a mass in the church with the rest of the parish. It was a chance to pray and listen to the gospel. Some children in year6 took part by reading and joining in with the offertory procession. They were very well behaved and a great example for our school.

Swimming Squad Tryouts

Last Friday, Miss Vizard and Miss Donaldson held tryouts for the school swimming squad at Bath Road swimming pool. It was a great success and the children really enjoyed themselves. The choice of stroke was left up to the children. One child commented " I really enjoyed the trials and it was amazing!" The results have come in and Miss Vizard has decided! This Saturday, the 4th February, the team will be racing in the Luton Borough Championships at Wardown Swimming and Leisure Centre. Everyone who would like to watch, are welcome to come and support our children swimming. The school will be noticable by the school t-shirts. Let's have hope in our school squad and cheer them on to victory!

The Year 5 children have started their new Creative Curriculum topic - learning about the Tudors. They are sure to enjoy finding out about the wives of Henry the eighth, the fact that they had no toilets, and people being beheaded!
